Howard County Public Schools
Howard County's school system is recognized as the best in Maryland based on Maryland School Assessments. Attendance and graduation rates are over 90%, and more than 85% of graduates continue their education.
The Columbia Foundation
Eastablished by Columbia's founder, James Rouse, the non-profit Columbia Foundation enhances the quality of life in Howard County by offering grants and other support to non-profit groups that provide community services and cultural enrichment.
